Father’s Day is observed on the third Sunday in June. Possession of children on Father’s Day by the Father is the same regardless of the distance between the father’s residence and the child or children’s residence. The Father’s Day period of possession begins the Friday before Father’s Day at 6:00 p.m. The Father has the right to elect for the period of possession to end either on Father’s Day Sunday at 6:00 p.m. or the Monday following Father’s Day at 8:00 a.m. This election has to be taken before the final order is rendered by the Court. As with any period of possession, the terms of the period can be modified by the mutual agreement of the parties.
