Members of a Saginaw area High School Cheerleading squad were suspended (from school and all cheering activities) after serving up an ice cold, bubbly glass of urine-spiked soda to fellow teammates. Apparently the teammates weren't tipped off by the muffled giggling and, "Hey take a drink of this - no really drink it!" Well, we all knew that teenage girls can be both cruel and gullible.
Ok ladies. For the record, there is peeing in a cup (useful for drug screening) and there's spiking your drink (useful for frat parties). Do Not - I repeat - DO NOT combine the two.
What suprised me most about this story was the reaction from the parents. I would've thought there would be outraged by the suspended girls moms. "You can't ruin my daughter's life by not letting her cheer!" That is the Texas sterotype, since the days of the infamous Wanda Holloway. Instead, the response reported was from the victims' parents who believe that suspending the offending cheerleaders for the rest of the school year was not strict enough. Parenting win?
